This full time post is available immediately on a 2 year fixed term basis and can be undertaken remotely, allowing the post holder to be based anywhere in the UK. Applications from people wishing to work part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE) may be considered.
Summary of the role
We wish to recruit a Research Translation and Impact Manager who will make a key contribution to our Alzheimer Society Centre of Excellence by co-ordinating, facilitating and evaluating the delivery of impact. The post-holder will identify opportunities for impact based on research evidence from the Centre IDEAL research programme and associated INCLUDE COVID-19 rapid response project, and will work with the team and a range of partners and stakeholders to co-create resources and tools that effectively translate research evidence from these studies into practical initiatives and actions to improve the experience of people living with dementia and their family carers, and influence policy and practice in the care and support of people affected by dementia. The aim of the research is to improve the potential for people with dementia and family carers to live wellwith the condition. The post-holder will join a friendly and enthusiastic team with flexible working arrangements.
About you
Educated to at least degree level, you will have a track record in translating research findings into practical resources and actions, and delivering and evaluating impact. You will have ~ demonstrated ability to work with a range of stakeholders to co-create and co-produce effective resources and initiatives. You will have a good understanding of the experiences and needs of people living with dementia and their family carers, and ability to engage them in the co-production process. You will be an outstanding communicator, both orally and in writing, able to work well as part of a team, with the motivation to make things happen and achieve excellent outcomes.
