Innovative Senior Leader needed for the University of Exeter Academy of Nursing
The University of Exeter is seeking to appoint an outstanding nurse who will deliver leadership of the highest quality to Exeter’s fast developing, pioneering and unique Academy of Nursing.
Exeter is the first UK research-intensive Russell Group University this century to simultaneously develop completely new and unique programmes of nursing education and research. With our clinical and patient colleagues, we have set up the University of Exeter Academy of Nursing to pioneer novel research methods, innovative teaching and develop the knowledge base to lead nursing in the 21st century.
We are building our team and are seeking a new permanent, full time Professor and Head of Nursing with the vison to match ours, who will lead the Academy in the next phase of our expansion of nursing research and education.
Although we are looking for an established senior leader in nursing, we recognise that such people are in very short supply worldwide. Therefore, we would also consider applications from people in mid-career, with a significant research and education background, who we could support into the new role here on the understanding that the candidate would already be on a steep trajectory to excellence.
As a research-intensive University in the top ten of UK institutions, Exeter is surrounded by spectacular beaches and countryside and yet only around two hours by train from London. It is a wonderful place to live and work. The University is an international University with around a third of our academic staff body of non-British nationality.
