We are looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) with research experience, including excellent quantitative skills, within the broad field of 'environment, human health and wellbeing' to work on the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) supported, 'Blue Communities' project. The aim of the post is to work collaboratively with partners in four South East Asian countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines) to develop, and analyse and disseminate data from, population surveys on health and wellbeing in several coastal communities in the region. Ideal you will have experience developing and analysing survey data on health and wellbeing and a disciplinary background in areas such as health sciences, epidemiology, psychology, economics, or quantitative geography.
Blue Communities is a collaboration between Plymouth Marine Laboratories; the University of Exeter; the University of Plymouth; and several institutions and non-governmental bodies across South East Asia. You will join a multi-disciplinary team on the project including (marine sciences, evidence synthesis, geography, psychology, epidemiology, and environmental/health economics), based at the European Centre for Environment and Human health on the University of Exeter's Truro Campus. The post also involves supporting training programmes to increase capacity in core research skills relevant to the post among our partner organisations.
You must have a PhD in a discipline related to the post and relevant research methods experience in environmental psychology, environmental economics, quantitative geography, health sciences, or epidemiology.
