College of Social Sciences & International Studies
We are seeking to appoint a permanent Lecturer (E&R) to join a thriving, dynamic, and international law school, based at our Penryn campus in Cornwall. Our offering to students in Cornwall is unique – law degrees form part of a portfolio of programmes run in collaboration with our Business School, such as LLB Law with Business and BBL Bachelor of Business with Laws.
In this post you will have the opportunity to develop your own research in an interdisciplinary manner in areas that are research strengths in Cornwall, including the law relating to business and organizations, environmental law, and commercial/company law. Teaching will be both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with your principal focus initially being on our undergraduate law with business programmes but with a great opportunity to assist in developing our postgraduate environmental law and policy curriculum. Our pedagogical approach is different from many traditional law schools, with a much stronger focus on experiential learning. This includes significant amounts of small group task -based working and research projects as part of the curriculum.
