The above part-time (0.6FTE) post is available from the 1st of September 2022 on a fixed term contract until 31st of December 2023 within the Clinical Education Research and Development (CEDAR) team
We anticipate being able to extend this contract subject to funding. Please note: Depending on applicant experience and qualifications, this position may attract a market supplement to the equivalent of NHS Band 8a AfC.
About the role
In line with the government’s stated priorities (DoH & DoE, 2018) to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people in education settings, the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) and Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) workforce development represent a significant investment towards achieving this. This EMPH programme is part of this child mental health workforce development that trains graduate entry practitioners to the child and young people mental health workforce..
This role is part of a substantial DoH and DoE investment to develop improved mental health support within the education sector and the successful candidate will be operating alongside an established academic team who have a proven record of teaching excellence; delivering a curriculum driven by evidence-based practice.
Based within CEDAR at the University of Exeter, the post will include working with Academic and Programme Leads within the EHMP programme team to ensure the efficient and effective development and delivery of the teaching programmes in accordance with the College’s education strategy and implementing the external affairs strategy. You will support the student learning experience across the practitioner training, using a range of approaches and modes of delivery appropriate to the teaching and development of clinical competency within the education setting. In collaboraton with the EHMP Programme Lead, the post will involve key stakeholder laision and operational support with participating partners to support programme development in areas related to education settings.
